When we are in authentic power, we are aligned with the power that comes from within. I love Gary Zukav’s definition: “Authentic power is when the personality is in alignment with the soul.”
When we seek power externally, we actually lose our authentic power. We give our power away when we seek to derive our value or sense of personal meaning from something outside of ourselves. As women, we have been taught to give our power away from a very young age and to seek everything from validation, approval and the right to our very existence from external means.
This workshop is ideal for women who really desire to experience a sense of equal and balanced power in their relationships, work places, homes and in the daily modeling and teachings we offer to younger women and our daughters. In this workshop we step completely out of the victim mentality and remember that each person really does have the ability to keep her own authentic power, no matter what life path she has been born into. From this higher perspective we can begin to see that by taking full responsibility for our lives, we come back into alignment with our own authentic power. As we connect to and balance our own power internally, we begin to see this mirrored back to us more and more in all areas of our lives.
Participants will use writing, movement, meditation, song and ritual to energetically realign with the true power of the soul and balance the feminine and masculine energies that reside in each one of us.
