May Day Full Moon Women’s Circle – Noticing the Magic and Miracles Here and Now!

“The earliest May Day celebrations appeared with the Floralia, festival of Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers, held on April 27 during the Roman Republic era, and with the Walpurgis Night celebrations of the Germanic countries. It is also associated with the Gaelic Beltane, most commonly held on April 30. The day was a traditional summer holiday in many European cultures. While February 1 was the first day of Spring, May 1 was the first day of Summer, hence, the Summer Solstice on June 25 (now June 21) was Midsummer.” The focus of our circle on this night, under the full moon, will be to notice the magic and miracles that surround us.

“The Wisdom of the Crow says, Believe in Magic! [ ] It’s a matter of opening your eyes, your ears, and especially your heart. It is an amazing world, and we have this unique capacity of consciousness that allows us to direct the energy of our thoughts to where they transform into physical reality. I’m sure you can think of many instances where you were able to manifest something you wanted. Takes belief and faith, and you can teach the children to do so. As the more of us, both children and adults, think peaceful and loving thoughts, the more this will manifest in the world.” Steven Farmer

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” ―Roald Dahl

“The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” —W.B. Yeats

Women often forget: “The greatest gift we can give to another is our own happiness.” Esther Hicks We must remember to feed and nourish ourselves before we can purely and effectively give to our families, communities and world.

In our monthly women’s circle we intend to create a space to gather, support and celebrate one another as fellow women. There are so many demands upon our lives, and having a soft place to land in a circle of support is essential. We recognize the growing call for women to step into their power, take full responsibility for their lives, and move forward into the work each one of us deep down knows we are meant to do in this lifetime. The more women are given opportunities to be in the flow of giving their gifts while at the same time receiving the support they need as they do so, the more our families, communities and world benefit.

This women’s gathering and celebration is a wonderful and inclusive place to make meaningful connections with women of all ages. There is so much to celebrate in our lives and the simple act of taking pause to connect to ourselves one another and nature as a conscious practice of pure gratitude is a main theme we will continually weave into our time together. Each person who comes contributes to the uniqueness of the circle, therefore YOU are an essential part! Some meetings will be held partially outside, weather permitting, to allow us to connect with nature and to enrich our experience of ceremony among the elements. Please bring a journal to each meeting.
